Memorable Bandung

I took this photo while waiting to depart from Changi Airport, Singapore. It was good to see the different ethnicities in the same waiting area. At this moment i had mixed feelings of anxiety and excitement, anxiety because the plane had not arrived while excitement due to the fact that i was finally making my way to meet my love.

This picture was taken at night in the car on the way back from dinner. Bandung has very few city lights, making it difficult to take street shots, but i managed to take this with the idea of capturing streaks of the available light in the city.

Took this while waiting for food at dinner. I really liked the background lighting of the restaurant, Sushi Groove at Paris Van Java, so i took a silhouette of what was on the table and was pleasantly surprised at the result.

Taken at Nanny's Pavillon, a themed restaurant in which this branch had the Library theme. The decor was neat and it had a relaxing setup. Food was good too, which made the dinner a pleasant experience.

This picture was taken in a visit to the Tangkuban Perahu volcano crater. There was a row of stalls set up in the area, and there was this particular one which brought me to take this picture.

I took this picture in the flight to Bandung. Being rather bored and restless, i lifted the window shade up and this was my view. Almost without hesitation i took out my trusty camera and captured this beauty.

This was taken en-route to the hotel i was staying in during the trip. Being excited and all about the next 4 days, i had my  camera in my hands during the car ride, and this was the result.

This is the Hyatt Regency hotel, my home for the entire trip in Bandung. Definitely a recommendation to whoever planning to go to Bandung. This was taken in the lobby, which caught my eye the moment i entered the hotel. I took 2 different perspectives of the lobby.

I took this photo at the trip to the Tangkuban Perahu volcano crater. Seeing that each of the trees had unique shapes, i took this shot and converted it to black and white, emphasizing on the shape of the trees.

This is the row of shops i had mentioned earlier in my picture of the mini guitar figurines. Each of the stalls had their own unique products, making it a pleasant showing of variety in the place.

This was one of my favorite shots in the  trip to the volcano crater. I knew what kind of perspective i had to take upon seeing it and i am very pleased with the results. 

Another view of the stalls at the volcano crater. I particularly like the colourful umbrella in the picture, which brought a sense of colour into the picture. A fog was approaching, so i had to take the picture quickly.

This is the first of the 2 shots of a row of trees i took while travelling in the car. I'm beginning to get a good feel of silhouettes after capturing these shots :)

This was taken in the car (yes i was restless as always) and the wall of grafitti really struck me and i wanted to bring out the colours of it during post processing.

Yet another picture in the car (car photography is fun!). I  was amazed at the unique architecture of this fountain and surprisingly i captured it at the right time. Speaking about right place, right time heh.

I took this at Kampung Daun, which i woud recommend as a place for a good meal with a good setting. The tables were set in individual huts surrounding with interesting foliage, making it a pleasant place for meals.

I took this from my hotel room. During my entire holiday, the skies were dull and had no signs of clouds. Fortunately, there were some clouds in the sky when i took this. This is a 3 shot panorama shot which was stitched up in Photoshop.

Alas, one of the highlights of my trip to Bandung. This is the Tangkuban Perahu volcano crater. The place reeked of the smell of sulphur but it certainly did not stop me from taking this 4 shot panorama picture.
